Sometimes I love just looking at my kids as they sleep. They are so peaceful. Last night my daughers had their own little slumber party while their dad and brother are away. They built a fort in Meg's room out of sheets and they slept under them together. They both looked so sweet as they slept right next to each other. Meg is getting to that point that picture taking annoys her. So, I love when I can get her in this kind of moment.

Oh my child who goes at full speed all day.... She literally at times seems to be bouncing off the walls. I love all of her energy and wish I had half of it!
To this day my kids on occassion will ask me to sing them songs when they go to bed. They are 12, 11 and 9. But they are never too old for that sweet time of songs in bed. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is one of their all time favorites. Many times they may ask me to sing songs that Nama sings. I can't hit the notes like she can, but I so remember those songs from my childhood when she would sing to me.
Ahh yes the life with my youngest daughter. She is big on sneaking up on her brother and sister. Today I happened to be in my older daughters room snapping some pictures of some decorations she made. And there she was keeping a close watch on us...
Do you ever feel like you have just gone off the track? Yeah? Me too! I am glad I have kicked off the new year with being on track with my health and my business. Carpe Diem!
My youngest daughter on many occassions is the one that I photograph. It is mainly because she is still willing to let me snap pictures of her while she is playing or doing things. My goal this year with my 365 is to capture all 3 of my kids and specifically when they are "in the moment" of something. This is an example of that as Ally was watching TV I came in on the floor and just started snapping. Feels good to be back to snapping.
Our sweet Sox has just turned 11. He is slowing down a great deal. It is hard for us to watch and see how much he has aged in the past 6 months. He struggles to breath at times and we know that the end is in sight for our sweet dog. We have had him since he was born. He is truly a special part of our family. Many days/nights you can find him snuggled up to me while I work, read or watch TV. We are trying to enjoy as much time with him as we can.
Well 2016 was a wonderful year for my business. I worked with more new customers than in 2015. I appreciate all the referrals I received this year. I had a wonderful time with all of the families/kids that I worked with.
2017 is a new year and a new outlook for me. I look forward to continuing to grow my business and bring in more clients. And in 2017 I am going to focus on doing my 365 project again. But, this year it is actually going to be completed. In December I had carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand so I am slowing working myself back to being able to use my camera. It is one of the many causes of my carpal tunnel. And so doing the 365 project is a perfect way for me to get back to it. I have missed taking pictures in December especially around the holidays. So as my kids say "Let's do this!" |
