Signage this was (I have to admit) a tough one for me. I just wasn't quite feeling it. I had an idea and then I forgot to take the picture when I was at the ice arena. So this is where I ended up on a No Outlet street to nowhere. :)

Today's theme was something you wear. There were so many different ways I could have gone with this theme. But I kept going back to my rings. I never take them off. I don't. I know that may seem odd and at times like when I went to Puerto Rico with my daughter it drove my husband crazy that I wore my jewelry there. But, it is a part of me. It is an important part of me that I am not willing to take off. And it represents so much more than our wedding day. It is a symbol of Our family, Our unity, Our love. Oh the infamous self portrait. You know it is coming, but you are just never truly prepared for it. There are reasons I prefer to be on the photographer side rather than the getting my picture taken. Just not comfortable in front of the camera. Kind of funny when you think about it. But today my day was about meal prep for the week. So, that's my self portrait. It's my every day. Getting back to my healthy lifestyle so I can be the best me! Sure was a beautiful sky yesterday for capturing my daily picture which was just looking up and snapping. I love the colors you can see in the sky thanks to the sun rising. As cold as it was here we still had sun shining and I will take that any day over snow! Granted we really have not gotten that much snow. Normally we would have forts built in our yard by now and at this point our grass is all you see no snow..
I pass by these boots every day when I walk in our house. Yes they just sit here in our garage like this. But today as I was looking at them I realized WOW my son is no longer a boy. These are his boots. They are a size 11 boot. They are a young mans boots. Where did the time go..... In just a couple weeks he will be 14 years old. Wish time would just slow down for a bit...
Nighttime can usually find me either in a car as a "taxi driver" to my kids or watching them work on homework. Lately it seems they spend hours on homework. Sometimes with me dozing off while they still sit working on it as I just can't stay up late because I am up so early. I often feel so bad for them that they spend so many hours on their homework.
Our Daisy Sparkles. Yes that is her name. She was named by our girls. The middle name came from our youngest, clearly. And we do at times call her by that. She has been a very different dog over the past 6 months since her brother Sox passed away. She used to be such a puppy personality even though she is 7 years old. But now she is much more dependent of me. She gets anxious whenever I am gone. She is much more of a snuggler and lovey kind of dog. She has helped us grieve Sox with all of her kisses and resting her head against us when we hold her. She truly is man/woman's best friend!
Oh yummy! I love a good homemade tomato soup recipe! Yesterday I made it for dinner and today I get to have the leftovers along with a little parmessan crisp on top. Delish! And to top it off I got to use my favorite soup mugs from my cousins pottery business, Sunset Hill Stoneware. You have to check them out here: www.shstoneware.com/.
Oh what a perfect way to end the day. Today it was around 30 degrees so I was so excited when this was the day to shoot a sunset. I had my little assistant Ally along with me and we went out on a walk in Appleton to find the perfect spot. It was so pretty. Even she was taking pictures with her phone of it. Take the time to get out there and just be. Enjoy the sunsets. Take a walk with a loved one. I hope today finds you having a wonderful day! So our theme today was Street. But my day was spent at a basketball tournament for our youngest. So, my street for the day was the basketball court. I could watch her play sports forever. Her perseverance amazes me. She doesn't quit. If she messes up she says I will try harder next time. This will get her through so much in life. She is strong willed that is for sure. Prior to playing in 3 basketball games she attended her first ODP (Olympic Development Program) Soccer Winter Training. She has a love of soccer and basketball so she spent the day doing the things she loves! So it was a perfect day for her! |
