Our sweet dog, Sox, is currently in "hospice care" as our vet has told us. We go month by month for him. We are really trying to cherish the time with him. Even though he is at a point of wearing diapers at night, taking multiple medications. We are trying to push through and let him go when his time is right...

Our middle child, Meggan, is quite the old soul. Well actually all 3 of our kids have old souls. Meggan is actually named after my sister who was killed in an alcohol related crash when she was only 14 years old. 2 of her friends died with her. Our Meggan has such compassion, wisdom and humor for her age. She also has a love for the piano like my sister did. Recently her teacher gave her a new song to learn and it was one that my sister LOVED to play. She loved it so much that she "sort of" taught me to play it. The only piano song I know. So, now hearing my daughter play that song throughout our house brings back so many great memories, from that old soul that is no longer with us... Today I had the opportunity to meet with a family of 16 (between parents, children and grandchildren) to take their family pictures of everyone. This family was so sweet, loving and funny! It was a great way to kick of my spring sessions. I really have a soft spot for grandparent/grandchildren pictures, but it could be because that is where my photography journey started taking pictures of my parents with their grandchildren. These are pictures that they can look back on and remember all the laughs and the love that they have for one another. I know I have been MIA for a while. I had hand surgery to treat my carpal tunnel. So, happy I did it and took the break. Crazy how much better my hand is now. And how much I realize my left hand is going to need the same surgery at some point. So much going on though business wise. I love outdoor sport season and have already been to 1 Lacrosse Tournament for our son. I am super excited to get to photograph the Kimberly Lacrosse team again this year. And this year they have grown to 3 teams. It is such a new sport for our area, but WOW is it ever fun to watch. And these boys give such great attitudes that the pictures are so easy to do and show their personalities. On top of this I have also been asked to photograph the Appleton North High School Girls Lacrosse team, as well as, the Appleton United U15 girls team that our daughter is on. Let the fun begin!! |
