Last night our youngest and her friend made a snowman in the backyard. They were overjoyed to be able to do it all on their own. This morning we noticed that the eyes (olives) were missing. So, while she was gone to school I put a pair of sunglasses on her. Hoping that this will bring some warm weather our way....

Ahh the dreaded snow day. As a working mom these days are not a happy day for me. It is a day of me juggling my job while keeping my kids going. It was a day that could have easily been a 1/2 day of school because the snow did not start until 11:45ish. We live in Wisconsin. We are used to snow. This is not a new thing here. So, as it went the kids had their list of chores to complete and then they could play or do whatever they wanted. Our youngest wanted to help us so she tried to do a little shoveling of our deck. Instead she had a lot of fun catching giant snowflakes. Oh 3rd grade. The year when the kids are Star of the Week and end the week with a Science Experiment. I will admit I am not a fan of science it is just not my thing. And every time we have had a child hit 3rd grade I dread the science experiment. So what do we do we recycle our science experiments. So, Ally is doing this magnet experiment this week. Yes it is the same one that Jack and Meg both did. It is what it is. Different kids in the class so it is not like they will have seen it before. |
