We had record breaking heat this weekend. And yet 2 of my 3 kids had soccer games both days. Yep Jack and Ally both had to play games on Saturday and Sunday. That is the life of soccer. Rain, shine or snow we play. And that includes heat too. But the refs were good about giving water breaks at these games which was nice. Both of the kids teams did awesome in their games! But boy were they glad to come and swim. Never have we had swimming at the end of September. Normally we have closed our pool down by now. But not this year! I guess we are getting summer now. :)

Oh the sweet family that I took pictures of today. It was so hot. Dripping sweaty hot. God bless them for wanting to still do their Fall pictures in 90 degree heat... But this sweet little girl was at the end of her shoot and this is how I think everyone felt. She was such a sweetheart, but it was hot.
And on the other hand you have the cousins laughing hysterically. And I am not kidding this was right after her pictures. Sweet cousins and family sessions. I love all the personalities that come out and I love that I am able to capture them. No matter what their mood is I capture the moment.. That is what I love about being a photographer...
And so begins our Fall season of soccer. All 3 of our kids are playing Classic soccer this year. So, it will be a crazy year of soccer. But you know what I would have it no other way. If they love it then I love it. Jack and Meg are playing for Electric City Soccer Club and Ally is playing for NEW United Soccer club. All 3 kids have switched clubs this year. They were all offered spots on teams in multiple clubs and they chose where they wanted to play. We felt it was important for them that they pick and we think for each of them they made the right decision. We look forward to seeing how they do over the course of the year. Chad will be coaching Meg's team and assistant coaching Jack's team. And then he gets to be a dad to Ally and cheer her on from the sidelines. Let the fun begin!
I love days that are spent camping and hiking. It is not uncommon for us to take the 1st weekend after school starts to go camping and just escape the craziness of the 1st week of school. I always try to find different perspectives when we are on our hikes. One of favorite things to do. And usually the kids will start to join in and point things out to me that they think would be a great picture. One of these days I may have to get them their own camera so they can start capturing and learning my trade...
How can it be that my littles are no longer littles? My son, Jack, over the summer grew to be as tall as me and to have bigger feet than his dad! Meggan is almost as tall as me. And well, Ally, sorry sweetie probably will only pass by Nama (sorry mom!). Lots of first this year with Meggan starting middle school and Ally starting intermediate school. I know you will all do amazing things this year. I am proud of you no matter what! I will always be here for you no matter what (even with the french horn playing going on Ally :) )! Here's to an amazing 2017-18 school year! Show them what you are made of! Be the best you that you can be!
