Where do I begin about my favorite thing? It may seem like a strange thing to have as your favorite thing. But there is a story behind this. I was actually very torn between this blanket and my collection of old fashioned cameras. I have a real thing about those cameras. I will have to do a shoot of just those cameras one of these days. Friends and families have learned about my fascination with them and give them to me now as gifts. It is something I just LOVE! And my kids love to play with and look at them and try to figure them out. But I digress...
My blanket. It is a treasured blanket that I have had since I was probably uh 10 maybe? My grandma Marion made it. She made it for my family, but I pretty much snapped it up and it became mine. It has been such a comfort for me through hard times and I know that seems crazy coming from a 40 some year old woman. But, hey I am in touch with myself and it is what it is. On sad days it is the best thing to snuggle up with and makes me think of all the time "GG" spent making it. It may seem silly, but it truly is one of my favorite things in the world. When I am away it may go with me, or the kids will take turns snuggling it so they feel closer to me when they are missing me. It is special to me still some 30 years later. Love you grandma and miss you dearly!
