Nutella who doesn't love this stuff? My kids absolutely could eat this all day long!! They were so excited when I brought it home because I had to take pictures of it! So mom's pictures gave them a special treat!

Oh do I love old cameras. These are just a few of my favorites. But I have them all over my living room. I even bring them to photo shoots at times when I think they will be a good addition. I so wish I knew the stories behind the cameras I have, but I just love them!
My daughter. She is more gifted than I think she realizes when it comes to playing the piano. She told us last week she doesn't think it is fun to go to piano lessons anymore. Just about broke my heart because when she plays it is beautiful. I could listen to her for hours. She will rock back and forth as she plays. We asked her what would make it fun? She said I don't know. But then the next day her teacher started to teach her how to play one of Adele's songs. It's like she knew that she was bored or not having fun. Maybe it was what she needed. I guess we will see...
It is funny when you are doing a project like this how when you have a theme for a day how sometimes it can be really hard and other days super easy to come up with something. Today's theme was Shadows. I came walking through our living room where we have our piano and it was like a bullseye or horn sounding off to me saying "HERE'S YOUR SHADOW" lol :) So I have fallen behind in my blogging my 365 project. It was the one thing I said I would not do and there you have it I did it. So, I am getting myself caught up and fingers crossed that won't happen again. :) So, in the below gallery are my pictures for the following days. Enjoy!
Day 26 - Monochromatic - the picture of a piece of pottery that my son made at school. It was the perfect item for this theme. Even in color it suits the monochromatic theme. I have homemade pottery all over my home that our kids have made. And they have even started to give it to family members (which as a mom is so hard for me to see leave my house because it is something they made. I know as a non-hoarder it is a little crazy that I want to keep it all. But I let them now do whatever they want with each piece. :) Day 27 - Fuzzy Socks - my girls have the best fuzzy socks. I know I never had socks like this when I was a kid. Sometimes I like to take their socks and throw them on while I am working to keep my feet nice and warm and cozy. Truth! Day 28 - To Do List - It is the Project Manager in me. I make lists. I follow lists. I check things off of my lists. I love lists! My oldest daughter. She loves lists too. We are two peas in a pod, because the rest of our family is mass chaos! Day 29 - Gold - This frame around my favorite wedding picture that we have had in our living room in whatever house we have been in. It is by far my favorite gold thing I own! Day 30 - Cutlery - We have this spoon that sits in our drawer of utensils. We have no idea where it came from. It is all tarnished and we don't ever use it. It seems like it is very old. I don't remember when it suddenly appeared in our drawer. But I sometimes look at it wondering where it came from... Day 31 - Lit from Behind - Oh was I in a creative block for this day. I just struggled with it. I don't know why it was so hard. But, this was the best I had for the mindset I was in. It will get better I know. :) Day 32 - Heart - this sweet ceramic heart that my daughter made so many years ago. It hangs in my office on my desk. I look at frequently thinking about how young she was once upon a time. Tiny fingers, tiny red curls, but now she is a young lady that we are so proud of. I know when we think of something sweet we always turn to candy/cookies/cakes. Something loaded with sugar. But these days for me something sweet consists of fruits! And these strawberries don't get much better than that! They are some of the best fuel for me with my workouts!
Normally I would have to go with camping as my hobby. But given I live in the frozen tundra there is no camping happening in January.... So, I turn to baking. I learned to bake from my mom and my grandmas. Up until 2 years ago I used to bake 20-30 different assortment of christmas cookies. But when I started getting healthier and eating cleaner I sort of removed that from my life. It just became too tempting for me. My daughters though love to bake. I have found a new love for making homemade breads. My family loves it too. When they come home from school/work to that smell of fresh baked bread. There is nothing like it. If I could do that full-time I probably would. Between baking and photography I would love to do those things and oh garden. If I had the time for it that is I would love to do gardening. Just always seems to fall last. I like to try new things and that is what the 365 project is for me. It is getting me out of my comfort zone. Not just photographing every day things or just my kids. And I am hearing Hallelujah from my kids right now! So for my motion shot I decided to play with my daughters fairy lights. My motion was all about my camera moving and seeing what I could create. It was pretty neat to see what different shapes came out of this little test. What is in a players #? I guess it depends on the sport really. With basketball for my daughter it is the uniform that fits her. Since she is on the petite side she tends to get whatever is handed to her. And that is fine she doesn't really care. When it comes to her soccer uniform she is much more concerned about her #. For many years she had the same # 14, but when we switched clubs this past year she had to change #s. It was hard at first for her to get used to. But, now she loves her new #. |
